This is our first attempt at a blog, so please bear with us. This blog was created to give readers a look into the world of dating vs. online mega site dating vs. niche dating. Do you know the costs of a first meeting or first date in the real world and the chances of that date leading to a special relationship ? Can you really find a good match on a “mega ” dating site ? One million members and half of them are fake to start with, if you look for a certain age, hair color, eye color, drinks / smokes etc. you still have 17,369 profiles and how many of them like any of the things you like ? So now we look at niche dating online, if you are looking within a certain niche and that is where the other person is,  you already know you have some things in common. Things to talk about, you can chat online, send emails, trade phone numbers, talk for hours like when you were in high school, cam to cam, all before you really spend much money for a in-person date, or waste to much time and effort figuring out if you click or not. Your chances of finding a special person to start a relationship with, are greatly increased.  Mega- Sites say they match so many couples and I am sure they do. How many people wasted hours looking, hours writing, hours doing whatever just to find out the person in the photo isn’t real, or you get your hopes up based on a profile and a few short emails, then you find that person isn’t even the height or weight or anything they say they are, so you met someone based on lies, so is there a future there ? I wouldn’t think so. With the Mega-Sites they really don’t care about people meeting or matching couples, they want the most amount of members as possible, for a few reasons. The first and main reason is they charge  $24.95 to $69.95 a month and multiply that by a million members, as some of the sites claim, and well you can figure the rest. Do they really want members meeting people and canceling their memberships ?  The next reason is advertising on the sites, imagine getting paid only 10 cents for someone to click a banner, 1 million members, 30 days and nights, on the computer, even if  they only click one banner a month, well it’s more money than I would need in a year, let alone a month.   So, do I care they make money?  No, it is a great idea, prey on the basic human fear of being alone,  but not really do anything to satisfy that need.  Now, to be honest we will be starting some of our own online niche dating sites and yes we will be looking for members, a million, no, 250,000 nah too many, a site with maybe 10,000 total with some of the basic common traits, likes, dislikes, etc. already included. You love  a certain thing and you know the person you want to spend your life with needs to accept it, so you meet there on the niche site, and there you go, we took some of the work and some of the guessing out of the process for you, what you choose to do from there is on the two of you.
